Dr. David R. Hawkins wanted to present a series of 12 lectures that would be the basis of his spiritual work and would add further detail to the significant writings described in, Power vs. Force. He had discovered that by using the simple muscle testing method, he could inquire into the nature of Consciousness itself and after completing over 20 years of consciousness research, his book, Power vs Force was published in 1995. This book opened the door to so many new truths, enlightening information and exciting questions; the response from so many people from all walks of life was awe-inspiring, and revealing.Ā
People asked for more and Dr. Hawkins realized that Consciousness itself continued to grow and evolve. As a spiritual teacher, dedicated to the highest Truth, to God, and to his love for mankind, he decided to give the lecture presentations.
Including his on-going research, Dr. Hawkins created visual aids and graphs, which featured his famous Map of ConsciousnessĀ® chart, and presented his findings with great clarity and purpose. His light hearted spirit, wonderful sense of humor, and real life stories graced all who attended these lectures.Ā With his wife, Susan, as his assistant and a caring presence on stage, the 2002 lectures came to be and are the core of Dr. Hawkinsā body of work that he later called, āThe Pathway of Devotional Non-Duality.ā Each lecture begins and ends with this high statement: āGloria In Excelsis Deo,ā or āGlory to God in the Highest.ā
